Systematic Literature Review: Study Ethnobotany of Family Zingiberaceae in Several Ethnic Groups in Sumatra

Ethnobotany reveals that the relationship between human life and plants is one cannot be separated, One of plant families most widely used in everyday Zingiberaceae, also known as ginger tribe. Many local ethnic groups Indonesia use family Zingiberaceae ingredients for medicines (ethnomedicin), ethno-economics, ethno-ecology, traditional or ritual processions, ethnopharmacology. Local people from various ethnicities world take advantage this because large amount available nature its distinctive aroma taste are different other families. Several have raw materials medicine, food ingredients, cultural traditions generations, namely Lingga Malay group Riau Islands, Rupat Island community Riau, Toba Batak North Sumatra, Minangkabau West Sumatra.
